We look at what you sent and give you an honest read — minor issue, needs attention,
or we need to get eyes on it in person. No guessing. No pressure.
What to Photograph
You don’t need to get on the roof. Photos from the ground, the attic, or inside the house
give us a lot to work with. Here’s what’s most useful:
Water stains, peeling paint, soft spots on the ceiling, or discoloration near the roofline.
Show us the full stain and the surrounding area — size and location matter.
Shingles on the ground, visible gaps on the roof, cracked or curling edges.
A wide shot of the roof section and a close-up of the damage area if you can get it.
Granules in the gutters, sagging sections, visible rust or separation.
A straight-on shot of the gutter run and the roofline above it.
Wet insulation, dark staining on the decking, daylight coming through, or anything
that looks like moisture has been moving through there. Even a phone flashlight shot helps.
A lifted edge, a pipe boot that looks wrong, a section of ridge cap that looks different
from the rest — if it caught your eye, photograph it and send it. If it looked wrong to
you, it’s worth showing us.
Walk the perimeter of your house after any significant storm and photograph what you find —
debris on the roof, anything displaced, granules on the ground or in gutters.
Post-storm photos are some of the most useful we receive.
What Happens After You Send Photos
We look at what you sent and give you an honest read. There are three typical outcomes:
It looks minor. We tell you what we see, give you our read on urgency,
and let you decide whether you want us out for a closer look or if it can wait.
No pressure either way.
It needs attention. We tell you what the photos suggest, explain what
we’d want to check in person, and get you scheduled for an on-site inspection so we can
confirm the failure point and give you a real fix plan.
The photos aren’t enough to tell. We let you know what we’d need to see —
a different angle, an attic shot, something closer — or we just say we need to come out.
Either way, you get a straight answer, not a runaround.
